Chess and Pips
Posted by Avi Leventhal in Forex, tags: collaborative forex trading, Forex Social Network, social network for forex traders, virtual tradingWhen I was still young and used more of my brain’s cells, I was a chess player. It started out as pure entrainment for me, but after a while it was in my bones. Besides the fact that chess was the most interesting game I had ever played, I also liked the social side of it. I was part of a group on the same level that met together twice a week in the chess club for few hours. Playing against different players with a variety of playing styles and techniques enabled me to become a much more educated player and sped up my progress and abilities.
Furthermore, I used to sit and watch how the “expert” players were playing, to learn how to build a better playing strategy and make advanced chess moves. When I became older, I had less free time to invest in playing and I now find it hard to be present on a defined day & time in the chess club. In the end, the technology of online gaming brought me the “salvation” I was seeking.
In Yahoo-Chess there are thousands of players on-line organized by different levels of ability. You can open up a “chess table” and invite certain players from the entire community to join your virtual table. How do you make that decision? By looking into the players’ profiles, their real history of gaming, and their scoring performance. You may decide to set your table to be open to everyone, or to be private. It’s a huge, virtual chess club. Like the Yahoo-Chess community, the Currensee community will be a place where friends and colleagues can share advice, and learn from each others past experiences. You can choose the people you trust by looking at their profile and performances and get a better insight of the market. And just like Yahoo-Chess, its fun!
